The first award was presented by 2015 Fund Distribution Co-Chair Patricia Parker which recognized S4P Synergy as the United Way Partner Agency of the Year.  2015 Campaign Chair Betty Brassell explained the creation of the Traveling Campaign Trophy, “The Robinson Campaign Trophy” given in honor of Bill Robinson, past CEO/President of the United Way, and represented the Best Corporate Campaign Support from a business and their employees.  And the winner was InDyne.  Outgoing Board Chair Robert Kamm saluted Niceville Publix’s Store Manager, Mark Seifert as the Volunteer of the Yearrecognizing his time and leadership served on the Funds Distribution Committee, Campaign Cabinet volunteer and member of the United Way Board of Directors.

InDyne named “Best Business Campaign”

 

United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties’ 2015 Campaign Chair Betty Brassell of First City Bank, presented the ROBINSON CAMPAIGN TROPHY FOR BEST CAMPAIGN PERFORMANCE to InDyne.  This is the second year for this traveling trophy to be awarded.  Photo (L to R):  Campaign Chair Betty Brassell presented award to InDyne Lauren Day and Mike Guidry, General Manager of InDyne.

 

3 Mark Seifert Vol of Year

Mark Seifert received “Volunteer of the Year”

United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties’ award for VOLUNTEER  OF THE YEAR went to Mark Seifert, Store Manager of Publix, Niceville. Outgoing Board Chair Robert Kamm (pictured left) recognized the time and leadership he gave as he volunteered on the Fund Distribution Committee, Campaign Cabinet volunteer and member of the Board of Directors.


 United Way Celebrates 2014 with Three Major Awards

Three major awards were presented during the United Way’s 58th Annual Business Meeting held at the Ramada Beach Resort on Okaloosa Island. The first award was presented by 2015 Fund Distribution Chair Kim Cox which recognized Fresh Start for Children and Families the United Way Partner Agency of the Year. Outgoing Board Chair Walter Hooks saluted Okaloosa County Deputy Sheriffs, Jay Jones and Eric Aiden, as Volunteers of the Year, for going beyond expectations for Loaned Executives during the 2014 United Way Campaign. 2014 Campaign Chair Walter Hooks presented the first ever Robinson Trophy for Best Campaign Performance to the Publix Stores of Okaloosa and Walton Counties. The Robinson Trophy is a silver loving cup etched with a caricature of Bill Robinson and will become a traveling trophy each year. Robinson raised more than $42 million in his 25 year career as executive of the local United Way.

The Robinson Trophy is a silver loving cup etched with a caricature of Bill Robinson and will become a traveling trophy each year. Bill Robinson (pictured third from the left) raised more than $42 million in his 25 year career as executive director for United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties.

Aiden and Jones Volunteer

United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties’ award for VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR went to two volunteers. Outgoing Board Chair Martha Miller saluted and presented awards to Okaloosa County Deputy Sheriffs, Eric Aiden and Jay Jones (left to right) for going beyond expectations for Loaned Executives during the 2014 United Way Campaign.

Children's Volunteer Health Network

United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties’ award for PARTNER AGENCY OF THE YEAR was presented to Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). Presenting the award are 2014 Fund Distribution Chairs Patricia Davis of Trustmark Bank, Betty Brassell of First City Bank and Kim Cox of Beach Community Bank. Accepting the award are Zach Billingsley, CVHN CEO, and Kim Kelley.
