Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation representatives, joined by students, parents, teachers and principals from 20 district schools, collected 3,854 pounds of school supplies over seven Saturdays!  Soaring temperatures and scattered thunderstorms did not dampen the spirits of cheerful volunteers who handed out school supply lists and challenged shoppers to “Help us Cram the Van for Okaloosa District Students!”

The Foundation is grateful to United Way for organizing this annual event and to the participating stores:Crestview Publix and Wal-Mart Stores in Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Niceville. The generosity of the many customers who donated is remarkable.  Thank you for supporting education, students and families in Okaloosa County.
