National Association of Letter CarriersFort Walton Beach, FL – United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire Okaloosa & Walton communities for their response to the Annual National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Food Drive.

The numbers are in and we received 157,823 pounds of food collected along mail routes in these two counties. That response was over 9,000 more pounds from last year. A special thank you to all Letter Carriers and the local post offices personnel for their hard work in this annual food drive. They had to run their normal routes and collect food at the same time.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in the 22nd Annual “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive. Together, with the NALC, your generous donations made the nation’s largest single-day food drive an amazing success in Okaloosa & Walton Counties and has enable our local food banks to continue to serve those people in need of food in our community.

The United Way of Okaloosa & Walton Counties’ mission is “to provide leadership and resources to those in need”. We are a nonprofit organization focusing on Children & Education, Financial Stability/Disaster Support, and Health and Wellness. Partnering with the community and 42 local agencies, we continue to make an impact in the community.
