Fort Walton Beach, FL – United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties annual fundraising campaign is in full swing as Walter Hooks, Vice President of Regions Bank and the 2014 Campaign Chair, adjusted the goal board to the 40% mark for the United Way goal of $1,225,000…an 11.6% increase which was driven by the requests of the United Way 42 partner agencies.
“To help us reach this aggressive goal, United Way received help from its first-ever Pacesetter Campaign under the leadership of Betty Brassell from First City Bank. We had 13 companies who conducted and completed their annual workplace campaign before the official campaign began September 13th. We appreciate their tremendous efforts in raising 11.7% of our goal and ‘setting the pace’ for the 2014 Campaign”, stated Walter Hooks. “Even though this was the first year for a Pacesetter Campaign, I am extremely proud of these companies for taking a leadership role and setting an example for others to follow”, acknowledged Brassell. “With this positive, can-do attitude it should be a great campaign!”
The 2014 Pacesetter Companies included:
