Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) represents the hardworking people who keep our community running. They are teachers, child care workers, healthcare aides, retail associates, first responders, and others who work hard every day but still struggle to afford the basics. United Way Emerald Coast believes no one should have to choose between paying rent, putting food on the table, or caring for their family. That's why we're United for ALICE, investing in local solutions that help families move from surviving to thriving.
Early Learning
United for Early Learning
Every child deserves a strong start. That's why United Way Emerald Coast invests in early learning initiatives that support school readiness, strengthen literacy skills, and prepare children for lifelong success. Through programs like ReadingPals, Born Learning Trails, and community partnerships, we're helping young learners build confidence, spark curiosity, and develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Mental Health
United for Mental Health
Mental health challenges can affect anyone. United Way Emerald Coast works to increase access to care by connecting individuals and families with resources like 211 Northwest Florida, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and the Florida Veterans Support Line. Through programs, including EmpowHER and Crisis Kits, and partnerships with local non-profits, we're building resilience, promoting emotional well-being, and ensuring people can find help, hope, and healing.
