How does a United Way workplace giving partnership work?
United Way Emerald Coast (UWEC)’s workplace partnerships bring your team together to plan and execute an internal fundraising campaign that encourages employees to donate to their local United Way through payroll deduction. Campaigns typically last two to three weeks and include fun, employee-friendly activities, and volunteer opportunities.
Each campaign is different and tailored to your organization’s unique culture and identity. Most importantly, United Way staff is available to help plan and execute your campaign every step of the way. We will help you customize the campaign based on your organization's philanthropic goals. Contact us at development@united-way.org.
You may use any of the documents below during your campaign, or simply contact UWEC and we will provide you with printed copies of requested materials. If something is missing that you believe would be meaningful to your colleagues, please let us know!
Welcome to the United Way team!
First and foremost, thank you. Thank you, not only on behalf of our organization, but the whole community. The work you’re doing with your workplace campaign will help create pathways out of poverty in Okaloosa and Walton counties for our most vulnerable neighbors. As the coordinator, you are our greatest champion in creating lasting change for our community. Please do not underestimate the profound impact your campaign will make on the lives of thousands.
You are making a difference.
You may find lots of information to help you run a successful campaign on our website. Remember, you are not alone. The United Way staff is here to help you; we are committed to being your greatest advocates because quite simply, we could not do this important work without you. What will we do with your support? We will help our neighbors with the basics of life: health, education, and financial stability. We will provide more food and shelter to those who need it, and more smiles to those who are without hope. We will advance the common good, we will protect the weak, and we will support those who need a second chance. We will open the door to a brighter future.
Let's do more, together.
